Executive Briefings Hub

Senior leaders that want curated insights on-the-go can use Executive Briefings Hub as a monthly one-stop shop to understand their Mastercard portfolio performance. Compared to other Mastercard tools that offer insights on portfolio or reporting (MIC, Excel QBRs), the Executive Briefings Hub (EBH) is meant to be a flexible, fit-for-purpose reading experience that focuses on curating the right analysis narrative, building intuitive charts and creating a simple experience for an executive audience. We emphasize readability and balance interactivity and producing insights on behalf of customers.

The Executive Briefings Hub focuses on three core topics and premium topics.

  • Executive Spend Insights: Top-level clearing KPI, like spend, active cards, and transactions
  • Executive Channel Insights: Deep-dive into card-not-present spend and transactions, and provides breakdowns along channel (e.g., XB vs. domestic) and spend segmentations (e.g. industry, merchant, etc.)
  • Executive Operations Insights: Focuses on operational KPIs like approvals, chargebacks, fraud and decline analysis with breakdowns along multiple spend segmentations (e.g., industry, merchant, decline reason code)

The premium topic is called Executive Forecasting Insights. This forecasting report is an evolution of Spend Tracker 2.0 and provide forecasting insights on aggregate spend for the entire portfolio. Forecasting Insights provides a 12– 24-month projection of total spend volume for credit and debit issuer portfolios, and provide a few breakdowns by channel and acquisition vintage.

All reports provide a 12-month trend analysis, comparisons vs. regional peers, and breakdowns by customer attributes (product, industry).

The Executive Briefings Hub is developed by the same program and engineering organization as MIC 2.0 and MIC Lite. Our intent is to build a complementary product that is surfaced for a different audience within an issuer, and to build linkages between the two products in case there is user persona overlap. The Executive Briefings Hub is intended to be a fully curated experience, emphasizing design and bringing the right detail to a senior leader’s attention. This product requires minimal setup and configuration. MIC 2.0 and MIC Lite are fully interactive, dynamic data resources that enable almost limitless deep-dives and focuses heavily on analytics and flexibility. However, there are load times for requesting new data cuts and the dashboards contain a data-only experience. We see these as two fully complementary products that are accessed via one Business Intelligence homepage experience, driven off the same underlying data.

No, the PDF versions can only be accessed via 'Data & Services Bulletins Insights' platform. EBH contains a more curated and executive facing interactive versions of these reports.

The Executive Briefings Hub is designed for a few key customer personas:

  • Senior executives
  • C-1 to C-3 personas: C-suite is the C-level leadership team (CEO, CFO etc.). C-1 is one level below C-suite, C-2 is two levels below and C-3 is three levels below.
  • Head of Cards: Executive leaders responsible for activation, usage and retention programs. EBH will help them understand their card portfolio performance in a better and quicker way.
  • Internal teams within Mastercard

Issuers with more than 75,000 MA processed transactions in last 12 months can request for subscription to this product.

All data is anonymized and aggregated from Mastercard’s data warehouses. This includes clearing, authorization, chargeback and fraud Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) s.
